As crews were alerted for an Automatic Fire Alarm at 0745hrs for the Miller Building on Main Street in the Borough, snow and freezing rain began to fall and make the roads in the area slippery. Chief 65 arrived to find a burnt motor from a power surge and held everything at station. As crews were clearing a call went out for the first of many accidents in the area. fire Police went to Kutztown Road in Upper Hanover Township to direct traffic around a vehicle off the road in a ditch. Squad 65 was then dispatched to assist Bucks 58 with a multiple vehicle accident on Trumbauersville Road in the area of Finland Road. Squad 65 and the chief responded and found numerous accidents along the route of travel. Crews worked for about an hour and cleared. Fire Police added another run at Rt. 663 and Geryville Pike for a jack knifed tractor trailer in the area. Later in the evening, crews assisted Medic 369 with a patient lift assist and ran an arching wires call in the Borough. Crews finally slowed down around 2030hrs.
